  • What is LARP?
    LARP (Live action role play) is a performance, where the players embody a given character for a given time. It's like impro theatre but instead of playing for an audience the players perform for their own experience.
  • Is there a design doc for the passage?
    Yes, the most necessary information is collected in this document. The players will get any additional lore information and detailed character information through a worldanvil page.
  • What is content LARP?
    Content Larp is a Larp style that originates from a Czech game tradition. In short the specific features of content larp are: A larp is prepared primarily by the organisation team. Until the larp itself, the character is fully separate from the player. Every character can be interpreted as the leading one. In key moments, the players' freedom of decision is limited, in order to make it possible to achieve dramatically strong moments. A content larp offers a prepared, dramatically strong story.   • Is "The Passage" a nordic larp?
    Even though "The Passage" is inspired by some nordic games, it is not a nordic larp. The correct term to use for "The Passage" is content larp. If you are expecting a nordic larp you will be disappointed.
  • Do I get a refund if I cancle?
    If you cancle before the 1st of December you will get a refund minus CHF50 fee, if we can fill up your spot. If you cancle after the 1st of December you won't get a refund.
  • Are minors allowed at the game?
    No, you have to be 18 years old at the start of the game to participate.
  • Can I bring my dog with me?
    No, we do not allow any pets at the game.
  • Why is "spiders" listed in the heavy topics list?
    Spiders are a central element of the game. There will be plastic spiders as part of the decoration and also something to interact with. We would like to keep the details of how the spiders are part of the story a secret. If this is an issue for an arachnophobe, there are possibilities to mitigate it through the casting.
  • Can I read other character descriptions?
    We highly recommend not to, but if you prefer to, you can. The low transparency of the game is a tool that we actively use to enhance the experience. Therefore it is imperative not to share anything with the other players. Please do not spoil the experience of other players if they want to get surprised during the game.
  • What do I need to bring with me?
    This is the list of the things you have to bring to the game: Sleeping bag (There are woolen blankets and pillows and pillowcases in the cabin) Toiletry and personal medication Towel Modern thermal-wear Hiking boots (If possible in dark colours) Costume pieces: White, brown or gray blouse or shirt​ Woolen sweater Woolen socks (idealy knee length)​ Some appropriate writing instruments
  • What do you reccomend to bring with me?
    This is the list of things that might come in handy but are not necessary: Snacks for in between and to barter with other characters (please don't bring too much, there are some characters that receive a stash from us) Utensils for a hobby your character could have (e.g. knitting, drawing, playing an instrument) Gloves (All characters get some kind of hand wear, but not all will get something that covers the fingers.) Hat (Some character get some kind of head wear, it might come in handy to have something that covers your ears.) Earplugs This is the list of things you can bring if you want: Decoration Larp weapons that are period appropriat tools like axes or knives. (We will ask you to check in with us before the game and we might ask you to leave some out of game) Backpacks
  • Is there anything I must not bring with me?
    This is the list of things we don't want you to bring: Firearms Intime bandages and other medical equipement (Unless you are fine with giving it to the orga prior to the game and them handling the distribution of it.) Please note that this list is not conclusive. We would appreciate you reaching out to us, if you have anything you like to bring with you but you are not sure if it might interfere too much with the game or not be fitting. Please reach out to us before the game because the time at the location is very limited.
